Since moving to the area in 2019, I have witnessed and been party to various forms of City (Roslyn and Cle Elum) and Police (CERPD) civil liberty and constitutional rights violations. I will be using this forum to address some of these occurrences with the hopes that other members of the the community who have also received improper treatment can organize and collectively work towards resolution and reformation in these municipalities.
Please feel free to reach out to me with any comments or questions.

One of the other things I discovered while defending myself against Council Member Steven Harper's CPO, is that CERPD had police reports and records about me that either I was unaware of, or were inaccurate and/or incomplete.
I didn't find out about some until yesterday (initiated by Council Member Steven Harper), the day of my hearing at Kittitas County Superior Court. To make it worse, I had submitted a PUBLIC RECORDS REQUEST, and for some reason, that report was not included in the batch of records I received.
What I was told, is that it wasn't completed by the officer until after my request...but the statement was received by CERPD 13 days prior to when the police report was "finished"!!
In Jan 2024, I received a citation and criminal charge for something that I wasn't even there for...and that had happened 227 DAYS BEFORE. By the time I received it and had to defend myself, evidence and body cam footage would have been discarded. This was not justice...it was an ambush! I had to hire an attorney and fight it...and a year later it was dismissed with prejudice.
MY STRONG SUGGESTION TO EVERYONE IN THE COMMUNITY IS TO ASK FOR ANY AND ALL OF YOUR POLICE REPORTS AND OTHER RECORDS AND COMMUNICATION BEFORE IT GETS USED AGAINST YOU!
You can make a request by going to City of Cle Elum's website and scroll to the bottom and click on "Public Records Request". Here is the link: PUBLIC RECORDS REQUEST
Click on "Make Request" button, and then add description of what you are asking for. Select "Police" in the dropdown menu for Department. Enter your name and contact information, accept terms and conditions, and submit.
You need to be specific in what you are asking for. My suggestion would be something like this: "Any and all police reports, citations, and other records relating to [YOUR NAME] dating from today's date and for the previous three years." I included my family's names as well, which I would recommend.
Let me know if I can help in any way. If you find records that you were either unaware of, or are inaccurate/incomplete, I'd love to talk with you. I am hiring legal counsel to investigate this and other constitutional and civil rights violations and other complaints against the City of Cle Elum, CERPD, and prosecutors personally, and would be happy to make introductions to you as well. My hope is that it will be handled pro bono to help the community regardless of ability to pay for representation. 🙏🏼🇺🇸⚖️

The Civil Protection Order brought against me by City of Cle Elum Council Member Steven Harper was denied by Kittitas County Superior Court March 10, 2025, and was previously denied by Kittitas County District Court on Feb 13, 2025.
While I found this process slightly annoying and unnecessary, I learned something valuable in the process: while most of my comments were protected under free speech, obscenities are not, nor is language that can reasonably be construed as threatening. While the courts both found no cause with my statements, it is worth sharing that we need to be careful with public (or private) discourse with regards to these two points. Keep it clean, and watch wording that can be taken out of context that may cause you problems and hurt your messaging.
That said, I wish Council Member Steven Harper no ill will, and I told him after the hearing that this was 'water under the bridge'.
